Well, we are moving right along and beginning to start the end…wait…never mind. Anyway, we should probably ask what kind of magic that is hunh??
After a long hiatus, LoB IS BACK!!!
Kevin and I have picked up our pencils and crayons, and with David’s guidance LoB returns to a regular update schedule. We’ll finally catch up with Bill, Frank, Gina, Vasheeva, Foztik, Gypsy, Ganyon, Gork, Warrix, Shiarra, Giles and let’s not forget townsperson #12*.
I know it’s been a while and some of you may have forgotten what has happened.
“Let me explain…. No, there is too much. Let me sum up” **
Hmmm, maybe I’ll let Bill explain…
* – Townsperson #12 may or may not return to the strip. I know, I know, but townsperson #12 has other things to do.
** – quote shamelessly stolen, but only because it fits so well with what I was saying.
Hiya, folks, just a quick note that we’re doing the best we can… thanks for being patient. I know you want your comics, but remember this is a labor of love for each of us, and my own responsibilities are rather daunting at present with a full-time day job at the Garfield studio and a 2nd full-time job in the form of my own daily syndicated comic strip (where you just MIGHT see LoB Easter eggs here and there) with King Features Syndicate (which is no small feat to accomplish daily).
Truth be told, common sense tells me that a hiatus would be best… I just have no time these days. But I can’t seem to let LoB go. I had hoped for a cartoonist who could step in and keep things going, but I have yet to find one who can. I REALLY wanna wrap up that storyline. I only had about 10 strips to go or so. A rough plot outline by me is here. Don even added to it in the way of some writing, and Steve Ogden also was adding to it.
We’ll keep things rolling as best we can. In the meantime, Bill and Frank, Gnome 13 and Sarah the barwench and all of you are ever-present on our minds. I cannot seem to walk away from lob, so it languishes here and keeps you wondering, I know. But I am doing the best I can, I promise you.
In the meantime, I hope you’ll check out my syndicated comic strip with King features Syndicate, in newspapers and online every single day at www.IntelligentLifeComics.com. Keep your eyes peeled… you’ll likely see an all-out LoB reference here and there.
Oh, for lack of more hours in the day!!
Your pal, David
P.S. I’d LOVE some guest strips for LoB. ANYTHING. Send ‘em to me! david(at)intelligentlifecomics(dot)com
Bill introduces John Glynn, (the possible chocolate milk loving) President of Universal Uclick, to Frank! (This is a special commission strip where John was drawn into the strip!) Many thanks, John!
Legend of Bill is also appears at Universal Press Syndicate’s GoComics at www.gocomics.com/LegendofBill!
