…’cause you gotta read the spells juuuust soooooo.
Next Episode: Monday!!
Ok Bill, are you going to scratch your new friend behind his (her?) ears?
Frank’s big brother?
Let’s hope so…otherwise Bill might be in trouble, trouble as in flambayed and fricasseed!
That’s not how dragons work, my friend~
They’re color coded for a reason. If a green dragon shows up to a black dragon family reunion, it’s only because they’re either delivering food or being brought by a rebellion teen dragon daughter of some kind.
OK, so in going back through my log of LoB pertinent material, it seems that this may be a relative of Frank’s, but just not the one we’re thinking of. See, this dragon bears a striking resemblance to one we’ve seen before. Granted, it looks like she may be missing a third horn right in the middle of her head, but then again maybe that was just a bad acne day … for a dragon.Or maybe, since she is being summoned far earlier in time than her last appearance – sadly right before her death – maybe that third horn just hasn’t grown in yet.
Yes, I submit to you that this may actually be … Frank’s Mother!
And Derrath, while in ‘some’ stories color coding may matter, evidently with Frank and his momma, it doesn’t. Dave is not a very conventional kinda guy, in case you haven’t noticed. I mean, how many barbarians do we know of that were tax accounting clerks in their previous vocation? o.O
right now would be a good time to STOP reading aloud the magic tome.
Why? Maybe he gets a dragonslayer or whatever out of the next fragment. Chaos works in mysterious ways…
So does the IRS, but that doesn’t mean I want to give it any more rope than I have to. And that was BEFORE the current brouhaha.
He’s right behind me, isn’t he?”
oh bill stop reading the tome and look behind you its seems to be full blood dragon behind you../backs away from bill slowly..
bill look behind you and go billzerk naow
See, I told you to put the nuke down. Now you got a problem. Is there a spell in there for encasing an object in ice?
If he pronounced it right, there would be a harmless kitten right now
It’s kind of like this:
You’re saying it wrong. It’s LeviOsa, not LevioSA. Or saying “Diagonally” instead of “Diagon Alley”. Proper enunciation is key to proper spell functionality, until of course, you learn silent casting.
But, what if you get your thoughts scrambled, as Bill would sooner rather than later? I know he would, he shares my “personality type”.
bill sure has a hard time staying alive
Could this be Frank’s Mom, from before the slaughter?
All things considered, it would’ve been better had time as we know it stopped.
Love all the comments, and I’m sure David does too!
I sure DO!
Isn’t this the same dragon that burnt Kohr’s house and bride?
Klatu Veratau… necktie?
bill is like muhammad, the verging-on-illiterate-genius, a prophet to a new nation of bill-barians – yes!
Can’t wait to see how the others react to Bill’s new “friend”…
On the plus side, this probably marks the end of the strips with the magic users standing around making threats and warning of dire consequences. Nothing forces a change in the topic of conversation quite like the sudden arrival of twelve tons of live dragon.
Wait, so did Bill just bring the Dragon to him or did he just send himself to the Dragon?
HAHA! I am LOVING your comments, reading every single one of them here (I get them each via e-mail and read them all, so forgive me when I’m tardy to comment back!). Oh, Billbarians… wait ’til you see what trouble Bill is causing with this spell book… or where he’s GOING. Man, it is GOOD to have Bill back!
HOLY HELL, look out behind you, Bill!
A fiber-breathing dragon. (Works in asbestos removal).
that is a rare specimen of Tabasco Hot Red Dragon… dont feed it peppers (or beans )
