Started reading about Mata Hari recently, and inspired to begin drawing a portrait of her from an old actual photograph of her. Really enjoying the fountain pen cross-hatching detail in the sketchbook of secrets.

This is conceptually a long way from the Billverse, but the nature of Mata Hari might fit certain characters in the Billverse.

It is fortunate that you enjoyed the cross-hatching. I remember Frank Kelly Feas’ comment after he had done a monochrome illustration with pontiallistic shading for the first (and last) time. It drove him nuts.
