Oh … FOLKS! Do NOT do this at home! I realize the first reaction to a stabbing injury is to remove the object that is in the wound. However, under most circumstances, that just allows profuse bleeding to commence, often resulting in the rapid onset of a somewhat serious case of death. Bind the wound with the object in place, if at all practical, and get top-level professional assistance immediately. Do not attempt removal of a stabbing object if the injury appears to be even remotely serious. [ /END Public Service Announcement - sorry about a lecture on cartoon physics!

In her defense, *treating* injuries is not her strong point, *causing* injuries is really more her area of expertise.

sarah’s own MOTHER would not believe her innocence in this situation…though the thought leads me to thinking how scary sarah’s family might be…poor dirk. i also hope he still lives! what other man would be able to handle sarah/

One of the less pleasant realities of life is that some types of insanity and neuroses are indeed inheritable. Drugs can make them much more likely. British and Japanese studies indicate that there is a 6-fold increase in schitzophrenia with using marijuana in the teens and 20s. The British studies indicated a 20% chance if there is a history of schitzophrenia in the family. The EU’s EMCDDA’s publication “Treatment and Care for Older Drug Users” has some even nastier stuff as a consequence of drug use. The circular is mainly recommendations about how to take care of people who are messed up from drugs, biologically or mentally. There’s a reason for the epidemic for what is euphemistically called “early onset Alzheimers” in the Boomer age group in the U.S. and EU, put it that way.

I lost so many friends to MJ, that “harmless” drug, that I have a bad habit of trying to spread the word. It was legal here when that happened. (Recriminalized in 1997, but only after losing part of a generation of people.) One guy I used to know, that is now doing time in prison, started out with an IQ of 221. No more.
King of Babylon? hehe. You are probably the only one so far who has gotten that. How many would know that Nabuquduriuzhur is the Akkadian for Nebuchadnezzar?
I knew that because out of curiosity some years ago I looked up the Hebrew version of the name in the BDBG Lexicon. It gave the original in Akkadian.
But a 221 IQ? Not even Marilyn vos Savant has a measured IQ that high. And given the nature of intelligence on the one hand and of intelligence tests on the other, I’m not sure such a score, even if valid, means anything useful. The ability to pass a test may be simply a kind of intelligence.
That said, I hear you on the effects of marijuana abuse.

Will Sarah the Saracen go “on the lam”? Will she be go in search of the real killer? Will she snort and say “good riddance,” and keep working at the tavern, now as the person they don’t dare fire? Will she get into alcohol and drugs to “kill the pain?” What will happen to Psarah the Psychotic now?

There’s some little difference between speculation and bear-baiting. Somebody get TC a drink before he comes up with any more rumors.
It’s obvious she’s innocent. There’s only one wound.
That’s true, and if there were only one it would be in some place more immediately fatal.
Oh, jeez, this just gets worse and worse for Sarah…..
Of course everyone knows Sarah didn’t do it, the wound is in the back not in the front and only one spot, not all the way from belly to brisket.Though whoever knifed him had better have not killed him, the whole psychotic gf who will hunt you down, kill all your family and friends and is gonna start with your pets thing, you know. If Dirk lives, the perp might just get away with a good mangling or at least a quick, less painful death.
Dirk, if he lives, is golden for he has the perfect excuse why he hasn’t called her in so long. He can blame it all on the bad guy(s) who knifed him saying he had to fight his way out to see her. Or, even better he can say he was knifed, was sure he was going to die, and the last thought on his mind was that he had to see her just one more time before he died. I mean, come on, wouldn’t that be the most perfect, irresistable, certain to laid line of all time?
Sex and violence, you can’t enjoy one, if you don’t survive the other.
