I wonder if that is for “crimes” like crimson for red, or azure for blue, or yellow for canary?
How’s this for a hypothetical?
The crime: coloring the sky orange and the sea purple— sentence: one afternoon of having to listen to Sarah the Saracen expound to customers about life and ten pence. (Whack! goes the gavel.) Prisoner screams for mercy as he’s dragged away…
So this strip has temporarily become the “Legend of THE Bill” for the tavern damages.
.
And can we assume that this is Sonja, Sarah’s somewhat older and less attractive sister?
.
And is that the Watch Gnome’s boss and her ‘companion’ we see sitting in the background?
.
I just think this is a great look into the mind of David Reddick. No telling what else may be crawling around in the dark corners of that place!
There new gravatar wish it could came out better but the crop program on gravatar is stupid it wont allow you to put everything in the avatar even when its shrunk down
heh i have it saved to my account but for some reason gravatar hate its for some reason its make its all bluring to read when i crop by there program and or use eidt and then use there program
but i love the wanted posted of you i will fool around with it so that i can crop it and save it so you can actually read it, i saved the entire comic page so dont mind the changing of my avatar{ and also sorry for spamming}
So who busted the hole in the wall? Can’t be Warrix, surely – he would’ve teleported in. Can’t be the Orcs, they came through the door… unless Shiarra booted one of them through the wall… you know THAT had to hurt… http://legendofbill.com/2012/05/09/this-cannot-be-good/
Oh…..My…..GAWD! I love love love this! So many things I see here. I see smurfs, a dragon, Some of the Gnome Syndicate, boys from Dork Tower, A pyratical eye patched pixie, and a wanted poster of a certain wizard!
So is Miss Keebler in Playbarian magazine? Those googling/popping eyes on the cover are great. It’s hard to read, but is that “Miss K”? No doubt she’s a model in Ellf Magazine, demonstrating magic makeup compacts that double as communications devices.
A lot of bad puns come to mind about magazines in LoB’s realm:
Popular Magic, Sunrise, Better Gnomes and Larders, Boozeday, Slime, Elven Living, Entities, Sporks Illustrated, National Geomagic, Good Barkeeping, Clamour, L the LoB magazine, Gnomesonian, 117, Barter, Ether Guide, Sharp, Bards & Tombs, Flog magazine, Woods & Desert, Standing Stone, Sword Trend, Last, Drogue, Horse and Flyer, Barbarians Life, LQ, Lure, Pentagram, Playdragon, Barbopolitan, Elf, Elf’s Day, Eww, Smile, Elfbook, Fairy K, The New Yoked, Skyroad.
I wonder if Sir Bumbles at the “door” will turn out to be some major power in disguise. (Ala Paladine as an old, crazy wizard.)
Old Crazy wizard? Why, you speak of none other than Fizban the Fabulous!! A very powerful wizard (when he remembers his spells). Of course, it was just an act, as you said above, it was really just Paladine in mortal form.
Especially to P.D.Q. Bach’s waltzes, had they existed then and there – “Professor” Peter Schickele has claimed that said waltzes sound as if one of the author’s legs was considerably shorter than the other.
LOL Have I told yu all how much I love your comments? Because I do. Love your comments. This was a LOT of fun to draw. You can thank DON for suggesting it. He tossed the idea to do something like this and I was like ‘YES!!”. I told him it was his own fault for all the detail he had to color. Lots of fun here, as we segue into the next chapter of the epic LEGEND OF BILL!!!!
You also love leaving a lot of questions unanswered. The rest I can ascribe to one of your occasional bouts of caffeine overdosing – I just want to know, who put the hole in the wall?!
LOL don’t forget the nasty lil’ scrap Bill had with Kohr! Or maybe a bar fight was taking place on a broader scale in the background? Or maybe there was always a hole in the wall because that’s just the kind of trashy dive this lil’ ol’ place is? So many possibilities!!
Yep, you’re almost surely an ENFP trying to mess with another ENFP’s head.
Nobody (so far as I’ve read) has mentioned the dragon yet, and the hole looks very recent for all your excuses, so my present hypothesis is “the dragon did it”. He may also have broken the table where the two Gnome Syndicate members are still sitting, as his tail is nearby…
I didn’t want to mess up David’s page with extraneous matter more than I already have. I have a blog entry (and side links) that will give the overview (see below); scroll to almost the bottom to see what an ENFP is (link embedded):
It’s quite literally one of the greatest chapter closers I’ve ever seen. First off, there are so many hilarious details that you have to just keep going over it with a magnifying glass, with as many inside jokes as there are canon gags that fill in the story! It most certainly wraps the latest story arc up tight … but the genius of most of the gags also performing double-duty as foreshadowing. Lancelot is on the scene, the Gnome Syndicate CSI Team is putting the forensics together. DQ ♥ Bill …. my only nit-to-pick is the absence of a narcoleptic horse sleeping on a snowbank in the background. But don’t let me nag you on that. You’re telling the tale & there’s no telling where that horse is at right now.
Just masterful. Both you guys … fantastic! Thank you!
Of course, made me look over the whole panel again for any other details I’ve missed. The grins per pixel density is approaching a lethal tipping point.
Where do I start? Frozen orcs, punk fairies, people still drinking while stabbed, Smurfs, snotty knights, Playbarian, and gratuitous guest appearances? Only having Sarah in the center would have made it better!
I didn’t know why NABU-etc. was mentioning the horse, but now that I’ve cleared my Firefox cache and compared the two versions of the drawing, I see why. Nice touch.
i think i know what it is and if based off the old disney movie with a certain skull that glows when light hits the thing just right then i already know but i have to ask hnow did dave sneak it in me when i was ordering from pixie i assume thats my bill…
i hope that i found it i did remember watching this tv show
The Dresden Files!{ totally forgot about this short lived tv show as don said took me ffew minute to look for it on the internet but once i found and read the info on it i started to remember seeing the show}
You are correct Darkmyste! The orange flame in the skull is my little tribute to Bob from The Dresden Files. Bob is an air spirit/magical construct who helps Harry Dresden with magical research. In the short lived tv series (1 season on SciFi – darn writers strike) Bob was changed somewhat to be a wizard who was cursed to haunt his own skull, but still helped him.
i am struck speechless. love the Zucchini noses on the frozen snowmen scouttroop. but with frank gone one way and bill another way, which way did the horse follow.
“WANTED: Wizard Kuehn – Crimes of Color”? And that’s only the first of many, many deft touches!
(And Don STILL isn’t done?!)
hehe… Crimes of color.
Oh. My. Gosh.
Just LOVE the detail! Trying to find all the hidden references and funnies!
Coolage!
A bat’leth!
Hey and a Playbarian magazine! Are those eyeballs on the cover? LOL Nevermind….
So this strip has temporarily become the “Legend of THE Bill” for the tavern damages.
.
And can we assume that this is Sonja, Sarah’s somewhat older and less attractive sister?

I just think this is a great look into the mind of David Reddick. No telling what else may be crawling around in the dark corners of that place!
I ain’t paying that bill. I didn’t get into no fight. I was just minding my own business.
Maybe I’ll pay it, if you have a cave troll.
Oh, hey. You do have a cave troll. How special.
LMAO, this is too funny. So many hilarious details… great job Don!!
Maybe the Smurf should pay the bill. Or maybe What’s-his-name the knight?
Someone had time to hang a sock and a brassiere… good to know.
Unless the brassiere is always there and we seldom get to see that corner of the bar.
There new gravatar wish it could came out better but the crop program on gravatar is stupid it wont allow you to put everything in the avatar even when its shrunk down
and oh hey is that me on the table? as my skull avatar?
heh i have it saved to my account but for some reason gravatar hate its for some reason its make its all bluring to read when i crop by there program and or use eidt and then use there program
It was surreal enough coloring my own wanted poster, but it’s even more surreal now that I’m somebody’s Gravatar.
but i love the wanted posted of you i will fool around with it so that i can crop it and save it so you can actually read it, i saved the entire comic page so dont mind the changing of my avatar{ and also sorry for spamming}
That was great!
I take it that the smurfs and gnomes partied just a little too hard…
So, who is looking from below the floor with the periscope?
What are the white-covered critters with the beaks/bills?
Nab,
Those are the now frozen Orcs, goblins and ogres that backed Shiarra.
“backed” should be “attacked”. Stupid phone.
I completely blew that one!
I didn’t realize it was a continuation of the current storyline. I was thinking it was a standalone like some of the past ones.
So who busted the hole in the wall? Can’t be Warrix, surely – he would’ve teleported in. Can’t be the Orcs, they came through the door… unless Shiarra booted one of them through the wall… you know THAT had to hurt…
http://legendofbill.com/2012/05/09/this-cannot-be-good/
I KNEW they would make an epilogue for the poor tavern patrons…
Oh…..My…..GAWD! I love love love this! So many things I see here. I see smurfs, a dragon, Some of the Gnome Syndicate, boys from Dork Tower, A pyratical eye patched pixie, and a wanted poster of a certain wizard!
“DQ loves Bill” and a copt of JRR Tolkien’s ‘The hobbit” were my favorites on this page~
Wherever you got that image for your avatar, I love it. It makes me believe there’s still hope for manga/anime yet.

Has anyone else noticed that the unconscious barefoot guy on the lower left side has two right feet?
Must super great at dancing. XD
Especially to P.D.Q. Bach’s waltzes, had they existed then and there – “Professor” Peter Schickele has claimed that said waltzes sound as if one of the author’s legs was considerably shorter than the other.

What is an “ENFP”?
NABU: What is WIKIPEDIA?
Actually, my first try was the internet search.
It didn’t help much. There were a terrific number of things that fit those letters. Which one was the question…
I didn’t want to mess up David’s page with extraneous matter more than I already have.
I have a blog entry (and side links) that will give the overview (see below); scroll to almost the bottom to see what an ENFP is (link embedded):

*ahem* heehee. Thanks for the idea.

He’s got a point, David. You make a wallpaper out of this and you might be hauled in on charges of manslaughter (dying from laughter).
Where do I start? Frozen orcs, punk fairies, people still drinking while stabbed, Smurfs, snotty knights, Playbarian, and gratuitous guest appearances? Only having Sarah in the center would have made it better!
Maybe SHE put the hole in the wall.
It’s nice to take a break from this epic story line with some classic LOB action!
“Warrix was here” Hilarious
Haha, awesome! I love all the little details. Hilarious
OK, back to the story for just a second, but just how long was Warrix there that he took the time to scribble on the freakin wall?!?!
.
o.O
Tim, with a little bit of magic, it probably didn’t take long at all.
I LOVE your comments! P.S. I added in one new item. Can you find it?
I know what it is… but I won’t tell.
I didn’t know why NABU-etc. was mentioning the horse, but now that I’ve cleared my Firefox cache and compared the two versions of the drawing, I see why. Nice touch.
I just can’t thank Don enough for putting in such fine work. What a team!! Even if his crimes of color are LEGENDARY in the Billverse!
You’re welcome David. This was definitely a case of “Be careful what you wish for…” But 6 1/2 hours and 134 layers later, it was finished!
A question to all of my fellow Billbarians: Anyone know why the skull has a glowing orange eye?
Is it because it has a crow inside? (the Snowwhite Disney movie, anyone?).
No, not a crow, but it the reason is literary in its nature.
I knew that once, and I should be ashamed of myself for not remembering it now.
Soooo, it’s orange because the annoyng orange is inside the skull?
is because i am hiding a pixie in my skull thats behind my eye?
how did it get there i blame don for it!
Nope, but there is definitely something in the skull I’m referring to.
i think i know what it is and if based off the old disney movie with a certain skull that glows when light hits the thing just right then i already know but i have to ask hnow did dave sneak it in me when i was ordering from pixie i assume thats my bill…
Again, not a Disney movie. This is from a series of books and a short lived attempt at a Tv series.
i hope that i found it i did remember watching this tv show
The Dresden Files!{ totally forgot about this short lived tv show as don said took me ffew minute to look for it on the internet but once i found and read the info on it i started to remember seeing the show}

hmm American tv series or UK English tv series don?
Dork Tower! Among other things…
“Have you seen me?” hehe. I like that. A good following line would be “I haven’t.”
How about Sopfor or Sopforifica for the horse’ name?
oops. Should have been Sopor or Soporific for a suggestion for the horsey’s name…
Soporifica, the Amazing Snoozing Horse…
Nepenthe?
I think Nervocalm is a good one.
i am struck speechless. love the Zucchini noses on the frozen snowmen scouttroop. but with frank gone one way and bill another way, which way did the horse follow.
love the batleth!
“dq(dark queen) loves bill” in upper left corner
the girl from gnome syndicate, the tall cute one.smurfs too
So Many Spottables. Tis a Verily Eye Spy scene.
