Aw, touching. I think I’m going to shed a tear.
Now we need a back story to the back story–how did Frankie become lost?
So is Frank just a very small dragon, or is he still young?
It would seem that back in the day – when she found Frank – that Shiarra had a few more tattoos! (points to her belly)
Well if she can shape change, I’m sure that she can add and remove tattoos as she sees fit.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed!
or make her boobs bigger
I think the proper term is ‘perkier’. You know, time passes, things sag a bit here and there…
Consider her garb in the two images, and one might think what she wears when she finds Frank has more of a pull-up effect. Frankly, I find her bosom to be well-suited for her now. Besides, how old is she? She could be older than Wolverine!
But also less sensitive in giving and receiving tactile feedback, in case you’ve never noticed. In any engineering solution, there’s always a tradeoff.
Those aren’t tattoos. They’re love swirlies.
I always thought it was more like bodypaint, like what they use for magic stuff, Egyptians did it and you can see those on tribesmen.
On her it always looks like a mix of the old geometric lines and runes.
Love her “wind blown” posture too
Young Frank is a definite aaaawwwwwww
Yes, let’s go with that.
* Accepted Answer * +1 for you.
Added Blue Body Paint: Adds protection from the cold while not making the wearer’s other dress the slightest bit more practical (or modest). Do they have a version for the ladies dwelling in warmer climes?
Sure. They use a different color paint in warmer climes.
A wizards tattoos are not mere decoration. They are Runes of Power, which manifest and shift with the mages conditions and requirements. That’s been lore for … decades of role-playing games and centuries of mythology.
The tattoos of the Dark Underlord, and the Marks upon his minions, have established this as reality of the Billverse. Which I’ve found cool since the first time they showed up.
Not to mention … makes it slightly easier on the artist. Nobody said the tat’s must always be non-ornamental, either. A girl’s gotta have and enjoy her plumage. And, I do say, the Ice Queen haz, indeed, lovely plumage. Certainly rivals the Norwegian Blue.
In particular, I like the cheek design in the flashback image. Now .. if she’d just turn a bit more cheek so we could see the rest of it ….
Very observant of you.
Admit it! You paraphrased that out of some 1970′s D&D guide. =P
Wait. Timeline please!
She found Frank before he met Bill. It is quite possible that Bill and Frank had only been put together for a very short time before their encounter with Kohr.
Well, obviously they’re temporary wards against the cold. She may be tough, but that’s no outfit for climbing frosty mountains.
Ginormous AWWWW…. all around!
So Frank is Bill’s brains and Bill is Frank’s brawn…
And both are each other’s heart.
So that’s how Frank ended up in Bill’s care.
Interesting revelation to this story..
She chose well……those two HAVE taken care of each other, although i know sometimes, Frank wonders why…..
Youngling? I know Jedi can be younglings, but dragons?
Aw, she’s an ice queen with a volcano heart Little frank is just adorable
Like Mount Hekla?
Maybe that’s why she’s blue— Hekla released a lot of fluorine and she’s been colored blue…
i love that === volcano heart.
hit the nail on the bullseye
I hope Pixie didn’t explode into glitter and rainbows, yet…I haven’t gotten my ale!
*squeals in Pixie Girlie Delight!*
OMG Baby Frank!!!!!! I need him!!!
It’s time for another plush Frank? The Baby Frank…
I can visualize Shiarra’s “tattoos” continually flowing, changing, and moving in realtime as she speaks or her mood changes. She is the Frost Queen with powerful magic, after all (besides, some creatures (such as cephalopods) can change their skin patterns without any magic at all)
Love the windblown effects in the main panel — get chilly looking at it.
And poor little freezing Frank! Awwwwww!
Publically, I’m going with “Awwwwwwww.”
Privately, I’m going with “Awwwwyeah!”
