sorry pixie, unless you have the cleavage and the i can make your blood freeze look and oh the blue tattoo all over you body, we cant allow you to, who else would be the bar wench that we all know and come to love….
Nice Kage Baker reference. Seriously, though, do you realy think one of the immortal cyborgs would reveal themselves to be something as mundanely awesome as a web comic artist?
Pixie, you can be her! It’s called COSPLAY, baybay!
Folks, wait ’til you see Monday’s strip. Puttin’ some extra love into it.
And be sure to play with the new SEARCH function (top right – can’t miss it!)
P.S.: DAVID, just what is everyone else in the bar doing while all this is going on? Did Sharra or Giles generate some kind of Magical Isolation Field?
Well let’s see: bar fight, a wizard warps in, grabs Bill, warps out. Then the gnomes are poppin in and out taking Kohr with them, and then a fairie lets loose with a blast equivalent to the white hot intensity of a thousand suns and reveals herself to be The Frost Queen.
I’m thinking that those who weren’t crocked out of their minds already, are standing wide eyed in the corner with their mouths agape. But that’s just me.
My expectation is that the gang is alone in the tavern by now, except for a few spinning debris in the tailwind of a mass, hasty exit. That looked like a crowd that’s rough and tough and knows what it’s like to live near the Dark Underlord … every mother’s son one of ‘em (even the gals) would have a pretty serious clue as when to exit stages right, left, window and back door ASAP. Well. Except for maybe a couple passed out regulars who’ve had one too many Pan Galactic Gargle-Blasters.
In other news … the bar and pantry are now open for our intrepid gang to stock up on good “cheer” and a hot meal before they head on into the next disaster.
3X == there are advantages to sleeping on the barroom floor. interuptions which the sober congregation have to deal with past without notice to us who dwell on the barroom floor. hic. burp.
Giles is on-board without so much as a blink. The rebel!
I haz da thought, recently. See, Ganon’s been around since at least the beginning of all this. And Shiarra has clearly been around for quite some time. This is making me wonder if maybe Shiarra is that granny who taught Gypsy some of her tricks …
i have the inability to differentiate sound from background noise, so that music is hard for me to enjoy. the high the pitch, the worse it is for me. i love nelson eddy but hate Janette MacDonald. balderdash, huh.
Interesting. I actually have more problems with midrange (some Latinas’ voices are so soft in that range that their accents make them almost impossible for me to understand at first – a real stumbling block when I was a substitute teacher in middle and high school). But no wonder you like Johnny Cash, on top of any other reasons!
Giles is no rebel after Johnny Yuma’s thought pattern; he just doesn’t like this world’s distorted ideas about bureaucracy – after my basic thought pattern, or Kenny Loggins’, and for the same reasons.
You have a temperamental NF cartoonist drawing three temperamental NFs in the same comic strip; they’re going to agree that action should be taken for the same basic reasons. Not like the S_Ps of the world (you sound a whole lot like one of THOSE) who take action “just for the hell of it” like Johnny Yuma. (Sorry for the Myers-Briggs alphabet soup there, but it does have specific meaning which is useful to know.)
OK, I’ll annoy you and everyone else one last time – I have always loved Johnny Cash and while that’s the first time I’ve heard that song, it’s as “cool” to me as any other by him I’ve ever heard. So it’s not prejudice against the music working here. I doubt if Giles would necessary like Kenny Loggins (he might be more of a The Chieftains kind of guy ), but I think he’d appreciate the “ideology” of “This Is It”.
THE REBEL was a cool t.v. series you should try on look at on YOUTUBE. yuma was an ex-confederate, who tried to stay out of trouble, but always did.
like most of westerns of the 1950s, he had special model of a gun. he had real cool confederate gun that was actually used in civil war by confederate army. it was kinda like the predecessor to the sawed off shotgun
*muses* Your world, your rule with regard to titles. Ordinarily, Your Majesty or Your Highness is typical for a queen, with Your Grace being a Duke/Duchess. But again, your world, so use whatever titles you like.
I love her! I wanna be her!!!!
But if you were, who would serve the drinks?
hey, what is this crap. self serve??? waitaminute. whats wrong with that. i just climb behind the bar and start emptying some pixies finest brew.
Actually she reminds me of someone I know, only tattoed and lipsticked and a whole lot more strategically exposed.
Not only is she a hottie, but the blue/pale motif looks amazing.
sorry pixie, unless you have the cleavage and the i can make your blood freeze look and oh the blue tattoo all over you body, we cant allow you to, who else would be the bar wench that we all know and come to love….
PERFECT. Go get yourselves something decadently chocolate, David and Don. You just earned your theobromine fix for the week.

David,
I’m using IE, and it’s in the top left corner for me.
Top right on Firefox.
Good to know. I’m on IE as well and it shows top right, and it’s top right in Google Chrome as well. Hm. Weird! lol But at least it’s THERRRRE
It can jump randomly around the page and I won’t mind – I’ve been waiting 2 years for you to get a search feature!
CHOCOLATE FIRST, DAVID AND DON! THAT’S AN ORDER!!!
P.S.: DAVID, just what is everyone else in the bar doing while all this is going on? Did Sharra or Giles generate some kind of Magical Isolation Field?
Excellent question! I assume they are all just watching in awe and keeping their distance from all this ruckus.

Good answers both.
Yeah, that’s pretty much what I’d do. Or cut and run, which was actually my first thought realistically.

Ahh yes, the classic PGGB, the alcoholic equivalent of a mugging. It’s like being hit with a lemon wedge wrapped around a gold brick.

Top right on my Nook color running the Dolphin Browser and Android.
Top left for me (Firefox)

Yeah, like I REALLY needed to see that.
The likeness is pretty good, though.
I LOVE this. Love seeing pix of real-life versions of LoB characters!
It’s good for a laugh that there are people that remind of the characters.
If nothing else, you could always use both models and illustrations in the calendar you mentioned some time back.
This person reminds me of Gypsy, for example:

OK then, who does THIS remind you of the most? I’m having trouble deciding.

It’s an interesting picture. Reminds me of Larry Elmore’s style. She looks too pleasant for the dark queen, though. One of the barmaids at a festival?
I think Gypsy, when I see this lady’s outfits:

love is in bloom, i can feel it in my pants.
I wanna hug her too!! This is such a d’awwww moment.
In that outfit, she’d want to be pretty handy with a ‘warmth’ spell.

could this be giles theme song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sb-KeGMqLEc
I’d be more apt to believe this is Giles’ theme song:
