No worries … she is the enemy of the enemy. For the moment, at least, a powerful “friend.” Remains to be seen where her actual alignments tend, but I’m kinda hoping she turns out to be a Galadrial of the North.
But, she is one of the heavy-hitters in this world, Vasheeva’s godmother if I recall that correctly. Been around for quite a while. It is to be noted that the Dark Underlord hasn’t taken her out yet over many, many years … meaning even he is 1) afraid to try &/or 2) has tried and failed. Think about that for a few moments.
And old Diplomacy (da boardgame!) adagio says: The enemy of the enemy of my enemy is… my enemy.
Not sure if it ever got so complicated yet in Bill’s story but it probably did – I’m certainly a bit confused by now and hope that the hot-cold Frost Queen will eventually explain us something (if she just does the belly dance I’ll be happy too).

Ok, so I get why Vasheeva and Gina are scantily clad as they are from some warmer regions, but why Shiarra? Wouldn’t she wear something a little furrier? *shrugs*

Cold and hot are just relative terms. Asking someone in southern Florida what cold weather is and asking someone in Northern Canada what cold weather is, will get you two completely different answers.
Besides, she wouldn’t be nearly as sexy looking wrapped up in heavy clothes with just her face peeking out of a parka, so yes Tim, SHHH!!
Yep. Despite the wheeze in the media about how warm it is, for 3 straight years, the Pacific NW has not had it’s usual spring weather by about 20 degrees. Brrrrrrr. Been hard on farmer’s crops and people’s gardens. When I was a kid, it was normal to have sun and 50s to 70s during this period on the high desert. It’s been 20s at night and 30s, 40s and 50s for the most part during the day. Even into July. This year we’ve had exactly 3 days where it got to 60.
So, why would a presumably evil “Frost Queen” want to help our G-nome?
As Robert Heinlein would rightly retort, ‘taint so. Such a woman would be just as much a traffic-stopper if dressed for the weather as otherwise, just in a different way.
Heinlein’s particular attitudes aside, many women (and most men), including some cartoonists (ahem), have forgotten the incredible power of “modest but alluring” dress.
Leaving all that aside, this is a vast improvement over the Butch Scottish Fae look.

Ha! We already knew Shiarra was Vasheeva’s godmother, just not her fairy godmother. It’s obvious in hindsight, isn’t it? ^^ And a fairy of ice and frost would not suffer from the cold, which explains the clothing; outside her native environment, she must be getting a bit hot under the collar.
