Please see my blog post below for info on this week’s LoB, friends. Due to circumstances out of my control, LoB will return Monday, February 27th – until then, please enjoy this, one of my fave guest strips by Wil Panganiban & Phelicia Ramlogan of Del Rey Studios (and the Frank & Steinway webcomic and Facebook page) Thanks again, Wil & Phelicia!

Sweet mother of…….WOW WOW WOW great strip!
how much has bill and frank had to drink
seems the more the drink, the more the prevarication
love bills eyeballs in panel one. he has gone violently beserk with a destructively frenzied passion.
same with frank. his evyballs also have that wild crazed, deranged look.
=========================================
speaking of violence, there are two conan movies coming out this august 19
one with arnold in 3-D, and maybe new x-rate footage not shown before
another without arnold
looks like a bloody summer
And of course, Gina doesn’t believe either of them…
yes, your right, JR.
for matters of clarification, a 5 panel is required for gina to tell her account of what happened of the battle.
o lets not forget the blacken eyeballs of the goblin in panel one, in the right corner.
that connected with me. i felt his cold, silence laying dead.
as jayson said wow wow wow
whoops!!
the ground is cluttered with goblins, you might have trouble in picking him out. == the corpse in point i am referring to is the one with bloodless olive complexion and a nametage of AHEM.
[other goblins are lime green]
Just a slight correction. It was written and drawn by me.
Phelicia provided the colors!
WOW is right!! Fantastic.. I like both their ‘vision’ of how it happened!
I always wondered if Frank ever had big thoughts about himself. Now we know in a spectacular manner!
(Any chance we get to see Gina’s side of the story?)
Perhaps! I’ll see what I can come up with.
They don’t think much of themselves, do they?
Holy Pixie Stix! This comic is amazing! Made me laugh and is amazingly drawn. Thank you to Wil and Phelicia!
You’re welcome. It was nice doing something completely different from my regular strip for a change!
this reminds me of Rashomon (1950) film, where each person remembers the story of the crime differently.
THE GOBLIN STORY
one old and doddering enfeebled goblin said hello to the three adventurers === that spooked them and all fled faster than a bat out of hell.
You would probably like Courage Under Fire as well, if you haven’t seen it.
thanx. looks like an interesting film.
The animated series Batman (not sure of the subtitle) did something similar: different people on the Gotham City police force, one subjectively biased against the Caped Crusader and toward his own role and the other objective about what happened, reported to Commissioner Gordon on what Batman and they did in breaking up a crime ring. Very interesting and very good treatment, especially since the first was a recurring male character and the second a female officer who was a “guest star” and probably a rookie.
A Toast, to the awesomeness of Bill and Frank! >^+^<
The variance in these accounts reminds me of how I tell the exploits of my fishing trips and how my son corrects me. >.>
awesome art. bill, and frank, legends in their own minds! lol! reminds me of the time i single handedly fought off a horde of rampaging wolves attacking my domicile. ok, the neighbor’s chihuahua was barking at my lawn mower, but i totally scared it away by myself. ok, they called it in, but it was tired of chasing me anyway…
liar2x burn on fire!!
Love it.
Very nicely done! Two thumbs up!
Great stuff, Wil! Welcome to the family!.. =D
Wow!! I love it!
Add another WOW!!
A great storyline. With Dave’s cachet it adds another piece to the personalities of Frank and Bill. Now we iknow that Bill isn’t the total doofus that he seems to be most of the time (when not going billzerk) and Frank is capable of stretching the truth a tiny bit.
I love the contrasting cartooning styles. Great stuff!
By the way, did anyone else notice that Gina’s swirly boob covers swirl in the same direction in panel three? Usually they swirl in opposite directions. (Yeah, some of us really notice things like that — especially when it comes to boob covers and certain other things)
A technical question: Wil, what media did you use for this? The first and last panels look like traditional media, and the “real world” (Billverse) middle two panels could be computer tablet.
All done in photoshop and a cintiq tablet!
However, the barbarian was a sketch I drew on paper and scanned in to do linework. The rest is digital!
Um… guys? Where’s everyone gone? No strip yesterday, slow server response… no word on FB… What’s up?
LOL, I saw this comment and went “Wait, I don’t remember commenting this week. Oh, wait, last August… right… old guest strip.” XD
Insectoid,
David’s out in Vegas for a Star Trek convention, Kevin’s out of town too (no Gnome Syndicate this Sunday), Jason and I are still around though.
It appears that the Smurfs got loose and smurfed the server for a while today, but the Gnomes got it working again.
I did post on facebook that the server was down, but you need to be following Legend of Bill, and not David.
Still, a little “sorry folks, no strip today” message on the front page would have been nice.
Not everybody likes Facebook.
Facewhat?!
Yes, not everybody has a Facebook account, it’s so yesteryear’s! (Seriously: privacy and ideological censorship issues make it a ghetto of sorts).
I actually don’t have a FB account; it is merely my last resort for updates if this place goes all ghost-town-like.
We will be patient as life happens–while the Bill-verse is on hold, hope all is/will be well in the David-verse!
Bill and Frank don’t think very highly of themselves, do they?
But really, who hasn’t embellished a story about themselves once in a while?
Gentleman, I’d like to introduce you to a man named Varric Tethras…
Awesome!
