Fuego. A location on topog and Winema NF maps that no longer exists. It lies between the great metropolises of Chemult and Crater Lake Junction to the North and Chiloquin to the South. A land of pines, snow, pumice, bitter cold (I’ve tested concrete pours at both Chemult and Chiloquin in single digit temps) and moderate elevation, from 4200 at Chiloquin to 4764 at Chemult.
Is that near Fuego east of the grand river Williamson, between the great metropolises of Chiloquin and Chemult?

THAT sounds rather ominous.
Which is ominous: What I said, or the plot of the story?
The plot. Frame 2 could imply several things, not all of them good.
The village name roughly translates to “Village of Fire” that in itself should be a warning.
Fuego, huh? My mind has been working too slowly on some levels… you don’t suppose that evil dragon is somehow linked…?
Uh oh.
Interesting!
