Well thank you David, coloring LoB and interacting with all of our fans is really great, more so than I even imagined.

Indeed it is…lots of fun interacting with both of you. Unfortuately I tend to think of you both now in terms of your cartoon avatars’ appearances and therefore any face-to-face meeting with you in the foreseeable future will be disconcerting. You guys are just that effective at your craft. :D

Ah, so, that might be Ganyon, Knower of Things, in the background after all, just as you hinted on Facebook! :D

Ah ah ! Going to take a while analyzing all the tidbits in this one !
    - Who is the strange figure wearing the cloak ?
    - Is that Ganyon in the background (with the large brimmed hat) ?
    - Of course, Brothers Barbarian arm wrestling – and the wizard..
    - Did the guy on the far right visit the Wet Gill Tavern ? looks like he has a run in with Sarah !

I just can’t wait to see where this leads us !

loo, thanks, Ivan! You shall see… much will be revealed, methinks, in this little pitstop on the road to barbaric ruin!

    OK, some random thoughts here…

    1. The Wizard reappears. We know not if this is part of the story or just Dave’s homage to his wonderful ‘color guy’. Congrats Don!

    2. This bar wench … is this a premonition of what Sarah looks like at age 45 and after 3 kids?

    3. Punk rock faerie, very nice.

    4. Watch Gnome with the David Caruso sunglasses. Very cool and interesting.

    5. The guy in the Leopard getup … A cross between Brutus the Barber Beefcake and Randy Macho Man Savage? If the words “Slim Jim” pop of his mouth, so help me…

    6. There is a shadow on that back wall that looks VERY ominous. Right next to the dude/dudette in the hood. Looks a great deal like Big, Bad & Ugly.

    7. Either that dude in the cloak is a guest appearance by Obi-wan Kenobe or he’s trouble. Or is it Dark Gina back from her past? And if so, did she park the Delorean out back? Either way, I have a bad feeling about this.

Tim, Thanks – here’s a few answers to your questions (without giving too much away, that is…)

      1. Not an homage to me, but someone else who has just a bit more fame in the art world than lil’ ol’ me. ;) .

      2. Might be a relative, might not.

      3. There’s at least on in every crowd.

      4. #12 is still on the job!

      5. He is an unsavory character, but I doubt he’s hawking smoke flavored meat treats.

      6. If it was “BBU” I don’t think that there would be nearly as many people in the bar as there are currently.

      7. “I find your lack of faith disturbing”. What? just because there’s a cloaked figure in a bar filled with questionable characters, you think he/she is evil? It could be a used horse wagon salesman not wanting to be recognized, or someone who sells life insurance (neither one is actually refered company, but that dosn’t necessarily make them eveil now, does it?)

        7. Said cloaked character might be a homage to my own chief protagonist, but I am many orders of magnitude less well known than anyone around here! ;)

        My first thought: Craven?

      eveil = evil

This looks like a group of completely trustworthy people, especially the faceless, cloaked guy in the back. Although there’s something about the short guy with the sunglasses that makes me think he can’t be trusted. Same with the shadowy guy behind the wizard.

Congrats, Don! Hope you can continue to help create the awesomeness that is this strip for a long time to come. :D

I vaguely remember a beer commercial from many, many years back, I forget which brand – a beauty contest where the camera pans across all the beautiful contestants and the last is a plain looking girl but holding a “brand X” beer – of course the judges all give her “10″ and she wins. Maybe it’s just the beer (mead?) she’s holding that makes this particular barwench more attractive?
