National Free Press cartoonist MJ, sends us this whoppin’ guest strip #2 featuring Bill and Frank! Thanks, MJ for both of these!
Note: I will be returning to the storyline soon. Many thanks for your patience, Billbarians, and thanks to the guest cartoonists who have been helping me out!

i remember reading some 3 stooges comics i had scored in an old bookstore for 6 for a 25c or a nickle apiece. they were for St. John publishing company, and i loved their wacky stories and funny artwork.
the artist drew the stooges in same way you did, but not so funny. i love shemps moronic face.
Norman Mauer, Moe Howard’s son-in-law, created The Three Stooges comic series. The artwork above seems to be taken from those comics.
Very perceptive! You are correct, the characters were modeled after Norman Maurer’s comics from the second series.
Tennessee Charlie – Wow, Thanks for the kudos!
No Slapping in 3 stooges? It’s not right!!!
Wait for it….
Great one MJ and David your worth the wait
Kevin – Thanks for reading!
I guess you can’t have your cake, and eat it too after all. Ha,ha,ha!
*UPDATE*
It appears you can have your cake and eat it also. Visually that is! Watch for the Princess Gina Pin-Up from the Playbarian Cover featured on the poster in The Stoogesmith’s Shop!
i smell a stooge cookout and love the old style, my father had some of the Normans comics not full set but they are beautiful covers mj you did very good job of capturing them.
DarkMyste – Thanks Huge!
little jokes are worth the price of admission.
playbarbarian.
master orc
wanted poster with out favorite villain
Tennessee Charlie – I was wondering who was going to pick up on the small details.
Oh, very few details go past this crowd.
For instance, the first thing I did this afternoon was to make a new gravatar for myself … just took me a few hours to get back here and leave a comment.
Really a fantastic send-up of both the Stooges and of Bill. Absolutely loved this little cross-over side arc. Thank you !!
Oh, and doing any pin-ups of Gina, Vasheeva, Gypsy, &/or Sarah, Shirley, Jessi …. indeed. If you are so motivated; one and all would make it to my desktop.
3Xp4t – Ha! Awesome! Thanks huge for the kudos! As for the request (Which I’m sure you read just below) I think David should put out a Playbarian Comic featuring Pin-Ups of the L.O.B. Women! I’m sure it would be a hot selling item!
i saw it too, i just thought was wanted poster and didnt think much about it since i am used to seeing warric ugly demon mug around so to me it seemed like it was recently there
DarkMyste – I really enjoy doing sidework. It’s a great distraction from the everyday grind of the normal stripwork. All kinds of different ideas just pop into the mind while doing strips for other fellow cartoonists. Good Times!
MJ is there going to be a next page?
i really cant wait to see what bill does to them
DarkMyste – No other pages are planned. I usually have just enough time to finish up all the features that I currently produce weekly.
speaking of which, would enjoy reading some issues of PLAYBARbareIAN
I did do a Princess Gina Pin-up, but David says it’s too risque.
david should mind his own business
david needs to take his afternoon nap
david needs to have his head examined
do you take paypal??????
you can email me the drawing. pant pant pant. hubba hubba
Sorry, I will have to respect David. It is his intellectual property, and creation. And being a fine upstanding artist in the community I respect his decision. Although I think it’s probably the best piece of L.O.B. art I’ve done to date. I am glad that I produced it even though very few have actually seen it. So to me I say, TOOT! TOOT! Woo Hoo! (Yep, that’s me tooting my own horn and parading around the studio. Ha,ha,ha!)
MJ – wait, you DID? I don;t recall ever seeing it, but then, my brain gets twisted into knots at times – can you re-e-mail it to me? Lemme have a look at it again.
And I LOVE the Playbarian idea. Hm… guest art, sexy pin-ups of Gina, Vasheeva, Gypsy, Orc women, Frost Witch, Sarah the Barwench, (and other wenches)… in fact, I sort of like the idea of calling it “PlayWench” … hm… folks? Thoughts? Would you buy said staple-comic book format magazine? $5.99 pricetag?
I like this. I LIKE this. Hmmmm…
WOW! Yes, I sure did and we discussed it a bit. No problem! On it’s way again. By the way when you print these pin-ups on Bristol they are pretty stunning!
what the bork!
dont leave me out of this. i want to see. i want to see. i want to see.
I second (third?) the idea!!
i fourth the idea!!
let see those drawings, but first time up David so he doesn’t take them down…before we pant all over them…
bah!!!! i meant to say tie^
I thought something like this would generate interest. It just seemed like a natural item that should be offered.
PlayWench would be the beefcake edition …
Ya beat me to it. PlayWENCH would be pics of Bill and Frank and the knight dude and EW orcs?!
Playbarian would be filled with the girls.
WOW! I love the details! The wanted poster is my favorite. It just jumped right out at me. Bravo!
so you got 3-D glasses on = do you?
Agreed – I LOVED that Wanted poster. And the Playbarian mag of course!
Pixie – I just wish I would of had more time to work on the strips.
its been so long since i saw bill, it wasnt until just now i noticed how short his horns are.
has bill hat helmet size shrank. enquiring minds want to know.
You are correct, I still draw Bill the way he was from his early appearances. Ha,ha,ha!
For those interested keep your eye’s peeled for The Princess Gina Pin-Up! David is working on that! With a possible exclusive special!
sounds like a plan.
gratuitous sex definds my viewing habits. ….*sizzle, sizzle*…..
That was good work MJ I like the Three Stooges that was funny.
Hyperkitty – Ha! Jumping ship? Thanks for reading over here at Legend of Bill!
Amazing job, MJ! This is some of your best work. Definite eye-candy.
George – Thanks huge for clicking through to Legend of Bill! I really appreciate it! Huge Thanks for the kind words.
Something tells me that it won’t be just that sword that gets whittled down to size, if Bill goes Zerk enough about it.
Johanan – Ha! Stoogageddon! Slapfight of the century!
…and then all four will end up blind and toothless.
Do I get honorable mention if you start that epic slapfest?
MJ–
Moe’s dialog “You imbeciles have better OF sharpened that correct!” is grammatically cringe-worthy. But then you used ‘of’ instead of ‘have’ in one of your above comments. But I guess it makes sense for a Stooge! I meant Moe, coitenly, not you.
Bren – Yes, I’m not an english major! I should HAVE corrected that. I even knew it looked odd when I did it. Sometimes I’ll catch the few grammar mistakes I make. Other times I will not, I’ve even been caught spelling George wrong by my editor before. Ha,ha,ha! Funny stuff!
