Today we have a very funny guest strip, featuring Sarah, our favorite “Barwench Tales” barwench (created every Saturday by Team LoBBer, Jason Williams), and my fave character Jason put into that strip, the Wolf-riding Elf, by Marjorie Rishel of “Draconis Wicked,” her new fantasy webcomic. Check it out! Thank you SO much, Marj!!

OH MY GOD! i love this so so so much. i cannot tell you what a thrill it is for me to see some one else take enough care of a character i created to draw there version of it. THANK YOU THANK YOU
I like that they each have a weapon in their shopping bag…
meta, meta! love it! fanart guest comic of the guest-artist’s side story!
I loveHow they’re Shopping buddies now. (But, What Exactly are the Bags Made of?, Jessi Has a Sword in hers.)
I so totally love the Girls’ Day Out theme with these two! Completely awesome and funny strip.
Sooooo, Is there, like, uh, a double-date of some sort in the works ..?
I mean, AFTER Sarah & Dirk return from their cruise …
hope its a regular feature.
it is chock-full of options for additional appearences\\
the art work is great and the punchline is funny. theyre shopping buddies now is wonderful
i love it i love it i love it i love it
Aw, thanks so much, you guys. I’m feelin’ the love.
This was the way I imagined the aftermath of Jessi’s story. Sarah finds someone that she can see eye-to-eye with and they can put their own savage spin on girly stuff…actually, the scenario is funnier than the punchline.
you done good.
What they said: I LOVE it.
Sarah wouldn’t say this, but I would: “So you don’t know why you got stuck with Sean, either.”
Or one of half a dozen other snarky Human comments, such as being severely underdressed for someone who insists on wearing the pants.
Another not-Sarah riposte: “So, basically, you Drow look for someone who won’t bash your forehead in for your arrogance.”
Ol’ Mommy wasn’t, by chance, a SPIDER, was she? And that sword in Jessi’s bag is gonna poke right through; buy a scabbard, girl!!!
Sound like a SITCOM!!!
Make the women Human and Klingon and you could put them on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Same non-Human assertion of both superiority and difference, same Human ability to whittle said assertion down to size with a single line.
And those shopping bags must be made of Mylar or something.
RE: shopping bags
one word === cartoon physics
HAHAHAHAHA!!!! THis is exactly what girls talk about too. Awesome! Made my friday!
CHAINMAIL FOR THE WIN!!!!:)
I’m guessing that Sean appealed to Jessi because traditionally (in D&D, anyway), Drow women keep the men pretty much as slaves. It would take so little effort for Jessi to keep Sean under her thumb… :p
Hey, Drow girl could have done worse too, a LOT worse.
I actually like Sean. I just suspect that he’s unappreciated.
I think we can say that Billverse is getting quite successful, since we are getting guest strips of guest strips (although Barwench Tales is Jason’s alright).
What I’d like to see one day is have David make a guest strip for BT or TGS – and we’d come full circle
The crossed eyes in the first panel are a nice touch…
The reason she got Sean? I suspect it might be something like this: only so many males survive in the Underdark and the other ladi— ladies?… er, well, female drow had already grabbed theirs in swordpoint weddings…
