Hmmm… Let’s see. We have Gnomes with some magical clout, and the watcher wizard what’s his name dude (Don’s avatar) and wait! The Gypsy! Maybe the Gypsy has a hand in this!
Or maybe it’s just the ripples of anger from Bar Wench Sarah disturbing the natural magic in the area. That is one angry chick! Kinda reminds me of the Ex…
I blame Johanan Rakkav the Scribe. He and everyone else who noticed the inconsistency that’s now having to be reverse-engineered. Incredible power, these Loyal Readers can wield.
Of course in my Ineffable Brute Force Stupidity, I just might have missed something, but I do recall Don trying to explain away the suddenly missing black eye as due to the comedic healing powers of toons. Whatever actually happened in the Supernatural History, it’s leading to some interesting dramatic opportunities.
I think some of the spell’s power was drained when Dark Queen Gina (the one with Warrix) was using some of Vasheeva’s powers that were left behind on the switch to try to locate Vasheeva and/or Bill…
This guy is just a fount of good comfort. Gina’s not exactly in her element, separated from Bill and Frank, and then she learns that a uber-villain might actually know where she is.
He ain’t getting anything for his birthday.
I think that everyone’s favorite gnome might have a hand in this. That or Vasheeva’s spell IS wearing off. Or could it be an unknown third party? Only time will tell.
I BLAME THE SMURFS.
Aw that’s sweet! He took away her black eye! Maybe he has a crush on Princess Gina?
Or perhaps I am a hopeless romantic reading to much into it?
Have to say, Love panel 3. The thoughtfulness of his eyes almost leaps out at you.
HA, I called it way back, Bill and Warrix are far more alike than people think. Bill absorbed the magic when he went Billzerk.
does princess gina have secret magical powers? yay! i bet the magic is in her pink hair!

AH HA!! and so the plot thickens. @ Pixie, who doesn’t have a crush on Princess Gina?

Interesting. If it’s not Craven himself… hmm, gnomes, pixies, Gypsy, Bill, and Smurfs are all possibilities.
Or we can just go with vince’s theory that Gina-in-DQ’s-body used up some of the spell by using the DQ’s powers.

wondering what happen to the gypsy nameless woman. i betcha her name will be Rose-Lee. going for the pun
Oh Charlie…How I cherish you at this very moment.
“Her name is Louise!”
“Not tonight it ain’t”
I bet my money on Sarah!!!
Maybe bill is the opposite of the dark lord, NEGATING magic instead of FEEDING on it….
@Pixie — you are a lady and a poet.
cherish you” — i can work with that.
Wait, didn’t the “rat man” tell Warrix of the switch soon after Vasheeva left the “Dark Lands?”

@SAGG and RMROVTW – Psst!! That’s Gork of Givernly. He’s Warrix’s servant.
