Next Episode: Thursday, January 20th – sketchblog updates daily! Be sure to hit “back” to see the weekend strips Barwench Tales and The Gnome Syndicate, if you missed ‘em Saturday and Sunday, too!
Well would you look at that, physical proof that Gypsy’s cold. Giles seems surprised by this And is Frank insinuating that the orcs are ladies? And that they are flirting with him? Nice! Funny stuff!
Well Frank’s gonna be let down. The Orcs have given Bill a little foreshadowing as to what awaits him I see. Wonder if Bill is ready for a real fight, or if he’ll have to rescue her later…can we say Barbarian preparedness montage.
Okay, is the stuttering from Gypsy and Frank a result of the cold, or because of their fear of the orcs? Will the fairy allow the gnome to help Bill fight these guys with some magic? The next “episode” should be interesting. And why am I thinking the orc’s comment about their not being ready for Bill can actually be used to Bill’s advantage?
And that he’s the only one who might be able to deal with the orcs, unless Bill pulls on the very bottom of his subconscious like he did with those orcs that wanted to avenge themselves on his bad tax preparation.
Getting harder to look Gypsy in the eyes … T3h Question now is: will Bill start being depicted with more anatomical correctness..?
@Observer — We’ve already seen that the Gnomes are an ,,,unsatisfactory meal for the Dark One. I think his reaction is more shock & concern for an unforeseen encounter. I suspect that Frank is, indeed, the most inherently magical creature present, although we’ve not actually seen the depths of Gypsy’s powers (yet).
Maybe we are about to get a demo ..?
sidenote @all — life sorta kicked me between the eyes. I’m still stopping by long enough to read fast, when I can, but a bit too time limited to post much or often. Jason, thanks for updates on Sarah t3h Psycho … hysterical storyline you’ve got going! Kevin, thanks so much for helping to round out the Billverse with the Gnome Syndicate Briefs (oh yeah, pun intended ). Watching how Agent 13′s secretary will handle The Todd (suspiciously Keebler Elf-like in appearance .. poseur ..?) looks like a turn toward the Epic …
David & Don — as always, thanks so much for this wonderful distraction! You’ve kept me laughing through some pretty interesting times, and now it seems you are again.
You know, I read something on the last Gnome Syndicate that I meant to address (because it really stuck in my craw) but had to gather my thoughts together so I didn’t come across sounding like a crazy fan girl. (Which I still might, but at least I tried)
David, Don, Jason, Kevin and all the Guest Strip folks,
I, for one, appreciate all the fact that David gives you all a chance to feature your artwork. I also appreciate the fact that the Gnome Syndicate and the Bar Wench Tales, not only give us a glimpse into other players in the Billverse, but also give us something else to enjoy while waiting for the next update from David.
To those of you who do not know, there are other things that can interfere in someone’s life. Like deadlines at work, being sick (See Plague of the Billverse) and Badness knows what else. Guest strips are there for that very reason. I’m sure you can find something else to read that has a much more stringent and undoubtedly boring routine that you can follow.
Please be aware that these are MY opinions and observations and have NO affiliation with the comics here or thier creators other than my being a huge fan.
Awesome commewnts, my friends. And t hank you, Pixie, for those kind words (no doubt spawned from the ever-so-kind comment on the last strip (hit back) I appreciate all of Y)OU far more than you can appreciate me or the other barbarians I am proud to share this space with here! (i.e., Don, Jason & Kevin!)
awesome words Pixie, and i always dreamed of having a crazed fan girl! i finally have made it!!!!!!! anyway, i am glad to be a part of the world david built, and have loved being a small distraction for people.
Thanks all!!!!
@Pixie – Thank you kindly. Like Jason said, it’s great to be a part of the world that David is building, and interacting with the fans of the strip (especially the one that likes to hide under my hat ).
you know, as i read the comments here, i wonder who has the more loyal followers. bill in frank, or david, jason, and don in the billions. (aka minions of bill=billions) lol!
I hit the ‘back’ button to take a look at the adverse comment. Ick!
I love the extra comics! When I think about it, it’s not that different from comics in newspapers, which have a Sunday strip that’s doesn’t follow the weekday/Saturday arc – and I’ve never found that jarring.
So that makes me a yaysayer (if there wasn’t such a thing, there is now)
Whoops, sorry about that, Astragali. must have not been paying attention when I was typing that. That or I was thinking about both yours and todd’s comments and forgot to separate them.

NOOOOO! You can’t let them take Gypsy! *stomps lil pixie foot* Biiiiiilllllll! Dooooo something!!!!!!
Giles!
That will teach them to roam about with no sword! Ha,ha,ha!
heheheh! brilliant
Well Frank’s gonna be let down.

Oh Frank, you’re PLENTY magical!
a gnome!
Frank and ladies?…This I must see!

This should be interesting.
I think the Gnome just realized that he is the most magical being there.
And that he’s the only one who might be able to deal with the orcs, unless Bill pulls on the very bottom of his subconscious like he did with those orcs that wanted to avenge themselves on his bad tax preparation.
Let me say..
I think the best twist would be for General Foztik to *ACTUALLY* drag away Good Ole Frank !
To me he IS the magical one (and no – I am no lady !)

And then …. What Happened Next Guys ..?
I think the orcs are after Giles, not Gypsy. But time will tell…
well well well, seems like my little post had some effect: http://www.legendofbill.com/2010/12/27/time-for-a-wardrobe-change/#comment-12349
(Woohoo, I win)
I guess we should all be happy now that the world’s a better place.
DON’T LISTEN TO THEM, FRANK!!! we know you’re magical.
and I’m sure the orcs are just responding to Gypsy’s request for a hairdresser.
franks face is just plain brilliant!
Bill could just headbutt the baddies. Not like he’s got anything to lose up there…
Well, all those who sobbed to see the Gypsy’s nipples should be pleased
*hugs for 3Xp4t* Hope everything turns out Ok.

HA! I want a Billion Shirt! *searches for the iron transfer paper!*
Yes! A Billion shirt would be awesomeness. Good idea, Astragali.
I think that we can all agree that the offender mentioned will hopefully not be heard from again until he (or she) can be a little nicer.
Y’all are the best. I’m so glad I get the chance to try and make you laugh. Thanks everyone, including Mr. Reddick for the opportunity.
Fijiman: Wait, wut? It wasn’t me… looks like it was Pixie, inspired by Todd!
(wouldn’t wanna take credit for someone else’s awesome idea)
