Fan Art Friday (sort of): Early Jason Williams Barwench sketch…
on December 17th, 2010Posted In: blog
When I proposed the Barwench Tales Saturday comic to Jason to do, he sent me some early sketches to show the style, feel, and such for the Barwenches, which I thoroughly enjoy (he still does it, as does Kevin Vassey, soon-to-be-launched Sunday Gnome Syndicate comic)… here’s a look at an early Jason barwench sketch from start to finish!

The tankard with the bendy straw must be Bill’s?
yes, and even after seeing this, he was drunk enough to let me near his characters on an ongoing basis.
Sorry I missed this earlier.
I suspect that thigh-high slit skirt and fancy stockings combination plus imbibation of festive beverage is exactly the reason you are
allowed nearenslaved to draw the Billverse characters!Cheers, Jason! … here’s to many more.
It’s cool that you went with her as a blonde … somehow seems fitting. Like the longer legs in her current form. Always liked a tall-ish girl (helps stretch the love out a bit ..
). However, I’m really intrigued with her as a redhead (could’ve been more Miriam-like from Out There).
Maybe this sketch is of her sister ..? Oh, and you could bring back the stockings and high-heeled boots anytime …
