Today’s guest strip is extra cool, by a good pal of mine, Kevin Vassey. Kevin was a Supervising Animator on a lil’ blockbuster you may know, “How To Train Your Dragon.” Kevin’s done a guest strip for LoB before, and this time, he pulled one of the stars of the film into the Billverse!
Thank you,Kevin, for this awesome guest strip! Show KV the love by visiting his blog!

Love it!.. =)
“How to Train Your Dragon” is absolutely one of my favorite films this year, David, so this is just cool beyond belief! awesome job, Kevin!!! love your work – in today’s guest strip and on the big screen!
Ha,ha,ha! Awesome adaption from the movie to an L.O.B. strip.
Am I the only one who thinks the dragon looks a bit like Stitch? (Lilo & Stitch)
Excellent work. (because I’m sure you need my lowly kudos)
giggle !! ^^
Awesome movie. Awesome guest strip. Awesome everything. YAY AWESOMENESS! Frank is NOT about to let himself be replaced.
@Duckamuck- No you are not the only one who thinks that.
Don, the colors are great. Thank you so much! I love drawing these characters and had a blast. I think I might be catching the comic strip bug.
Thanks!
–Kev
Uh, Frank, I think Toothless could take the job if he really wanted to.
Here’s one more lowly kudos to add to all the others, on all levels.
(N.B.: Hiccup and I are definitely two peas in the same Myers-Briggs Type Indicator pod. He even looks like me… at that age, that is.)
Kevin – Thank you and thanks for drawing this guest strip, I had fun coloring it. (Even though the 4 Dragon figurines on my desk from the movie didn’t help much, I was able to use Toothless for a color reference).
Great strip and great movie! Thanks for sharing your dragon with us, Kevin!
Ha ha! That’s great! Thanks, Kevin!
Love it, of course.
Duckamuck- I have always been reminded of Stitch, but also the dragons in that movie reminded me of the best parts of a cat and a lizard.
It’s full of dragon goodness. I was kind of wondering what was going to happen after we saw the teaser the other day.
Sweet strip, Awesome job Kevin and Don!!
Also, let’s not forget that dragons are the coolest things to have ever walked the Earth. (Yes they did exist. They’ve actually found the preserved remains of two dragons, so no I am not lying)
Oh? Where and when, and by what definition?
bill couldn’t engineer the flying rig anyway. lol
