Man, this dude was bad enough as Vorix. Imagine the distortion it took to get him to where he is “today”.
She knew it was Bill because her mind suddenly started turning into a void.
I like the coloring in the panel. I hope that’s not just a lighting choice and that that is what the actual character design is llke.

I can’t believe he’s broadcasting. An enormous echo, though; THAT I could believe.
This cannot be good, yes. We have a loop. And unstable magics.
So, from this, we learn that Bill gets under the skin and into the mind of quite a few people, and without any of that sparkly, flashy wizardry. Heh!
Bill was always sort of a pain!

His side of the story anyway. One day a happy, focused meglomaniac about to conquer the world, then … the Bill came.
Warrix has an interesting look ,,,not quite the ravishing boy-toy looks of Vorik. Does make me wonder exactly at what point in a cross-time Q’tinuum he underwent transmogrification. Looks like a Drow tattooed with silver ink.
I’m surprised to see Vasheeva-as-Gina and Gina-as-Vasheeva having a conscious connection/ physical reaction to the magics taking place. I take that to imply Warrix is having a similar experience, though less disorienting.
Vasheeva doesn’t (immediately) recognize the “taste” of who is in her head? Curious detail.
He must have been waiting for this for quite some time.
And, yay! We return to the world of much richer colors! I’ve loved the desaturated/sepia theme and fully encourage its use … but it’s also nice to see the brighter colors again. Like the sun coming out from behind the clouds.
You gotta love those motion lines.

Could Warix actually be… Bill (or a mix of the 2) ? With all the magical & time travel stuff going on, it’s not THAT far fetched !

dave, i was reading girl genius, and saw your banner ad. i clicked, and was hooked! i have spent the last week catching up with the story, and it is amazing to see how the story has progressed so far. i miss the black and white episodes! i used to read groo the wanderer when i was a teen. i remember buying the first issue at a hook’s drugs. bill is like son of groo! keep up the good work!
