I dont trust that guy… and for that looong story that Frank mentioned, you can read it starting HERE, and discover why Bill knows Queenie so well! And question: Who do you think would voice Vorik in an animated LoB movie?
Next Episode: Thursday, June 10th – sketchblog updates DAILY!

Queenie! Love it! I think Tim Curry would make a great Vorik. He does a bad guy to perfection.
Wow. That line really made me hate Vorik — especially when coming out of that smirk. No wonder Vasheeva is so messed up.
For the “silver tongued” voice, I think you’d want Sean Connery or maybe Pierce Brosnan. I’ve heard from a lot of women that Connery’s voice, especially, makes them melt.
Alas, Bill would probably find his voice in Brendan Frasier. Anjelica Huston would be a good choice for Vasheeva, I think, and maybe Liam Neeson for Frank. Now, to figure out a good no-nonsense, kick-butt-and-take-names-later voice for Princess Gina…
Oh, I bet the Gypsy’d love to hear that story…
I have a bad feeling about this Vorik fellow…
Christopher Lee comes to mind.
I dunno about who would voice Vorik, but for Bill himself I nominate Patrick Warburton!
Oh goodie! I’m allowed to openly hate Vorik now … &, I’m impressed that Bill is (at least slightly) more perceptive than a brick!
Gypsy is _not_ all-knowing …
*falls over laughing* Holy Pixie Dust…I was thinking that before I even got to the last panel. Actually my thought was more like “Smooth Talking MF!” Yeah cause I’ve never heard a line like that in my life ever! *searches for the sarcasm font.*
I’d say Ralph Finnes, but we have him in mind for the voice of Dr. Synn. How about Gary Oldman?
Vorik would be voiced by Patric Warburton.
Awwwwwwwww so romantic!!!
But my guts don’t trust that Vorik guy!
Specially with that wicked smirk at the last panel! :S
I loved Mark Hamill’s dark voice as The Watcher, in Darksiders universe.
Man, even IF we didn’t already know that Vasheeva ends up turning to the dark side, Vorik exudes so much pure creeptasticness that you can’t help but say “this cannot end well.”
I’m already feeling more sympathy for Vasheeva and I haven’t seen the end of the flashback yet!
I don’t like this Vorik guy. Run, Vasheeva!
My vote for Vorik’s voice would be James Woods, like when he did Hades in Hercules. Very “shmoozy” used car salesman-like. Later when he becomes Warrix, we’d need a deeper voice like Tim Curry, Michael Dorn or James Earl Jones (though that might make people think of Darth Vader too much).
I would have to recommend some guy who’s played a bad guy voice, yet can sound sweet and sensual, to play the voice of Vorik. Definitely not Curry, Connery or Brosnen. C’mon! He said an animated movie, not a 007 film. Perhaps Curry could do a Vader-thing, you know? Play the voice of Vorik after he becomes the Dark Lord. But before that? It’d have to be someone else, in my honest opinion. Definitely, de-de-definitely someone else!
Excellent suggestions, guys!! My vote at the moment for Vorik is Ralph Finnes… and for Warrix, possibly Alan Rickman with a bit of a digitized lowering of his voice. I see Vorik as having a British accent, definitely, very proper and SLY and very, very convincing.
Vorik still looks like Kusko XD I personally think that Patrick Warburton will make good Vorik, he sound so badass. Just listen to him as Brok in venture brothers. As for others, I think Tom Hanks will make good Bill. Frank should be voiced by John Leguizamo. I like his goofy voices, and Frank seems like he has a goofy voice, but don’t be fooled by it, he is really serious.
Tony Jay would have been a good choice for Vorik/Warrix, I think. God rest his soul.
As for princess Gina… How about Eliza Dushku?
If you’re thinking of Vorik with an accent then I’d say Alan Rickman for sure. He can pull off the gallant, smooth gentleman and then turn to the dark side with ease. I like the idea of Patrick Warburton for Bill and Frank could be done by Jason Alexander or maybe David Spade. (LOL) As for Gina, I’d suggest either Drew Barrymore or Amanda Bynes. Vasheeva would definitely be a Kathleen Turner-type voice for me but Angelina Jolie might work, too.
Nice weasel word play(uh). And Bill’s perceptiveness? Hm, well, he was an accountant. I figure he’s seen his share of smooth-talking clients with funny books.
Boy, do I agree with Rock.
Whenever I’m trying to figure out a villain character (are they dangerous, comic, crazy, etc.?) I always find myself asking “Could Tony Jay have played his voice?”
Gilbert Gottfried
I second Patrick Warburton for Bill!
In my head I hear the voice of Prince Charming from the Shrek movies as Vorik’s voice. And Patrick Warburton would be perfect for Bill!
Bill: Patrick Warburton (Obviously!)
Frank: David Spade
Vorik/Warrix: Gary Oldman or Liam Neeson
Gina: Rene Russo
Vasheeva: Lucy Lawless or Demi Moore
Reminding folks that the forum has a thread going on possible voices for the Legend of Bill Cast … in which I just dropped about a dozen o’ my own bits’ worth into:

EXCELLENT! And 3X – will check ‘em out, thanks!
I’d suggest Clive Owen for Vorik’s voice…I lost my soul to that voice in elizabeth: The Golden Age! <3
ARGH! I’m caught up! Now I have to wait like everyone else! Weird to see the queen so young and pretty!
OMG YES YES YES ALAN RICKMAN!!!!!! OMG HE’S THE FREAKING BEST!!!! I think i almost exploded in awesomeness when i figured out he was the catterpillar in Alice in Wonderland…
I hear John Malkovich as the voice of Vorik. I could also hear Kelsey Grammer in that role.
I think casting Bruce Campbell (AKA “The Chin”) as Vorik would be the perfect, choice. If not him, Patrick Warburton would do a great job. Aside from similar chins to Vorik, both voices can suggest the right element of ham and physical strength.
It’s obvious we’re all on the same page. What I LOVE is how so many of you guys hear the same or very SIMILAR voices for the characters. Which tells me their “character” comes through in their actions or facial expressions. HUZZAH!!
I’m thinking Christopher Lee because 1) Vorik looks like a very young Saruman (to me); 2) we all know what happened to Samuran (he became a Sauron wannabe); 3) Mr. Lee plays heros, villains, heros transformed into villains and vice versa, and everything in between with consummate ease.
So what if I’m the only one on this page with that opinion? Tough beans. Cast him while you can. You snooze, you lose.
Charles Dance for the voice of Vorik!
As soon as the flashback started, I heard Vorick speaking with the voice of Vincent Price — cultured but with an oily undertone of sinister evil. Vincent was great with villain roles and could do terrific comedy too. I loved his skits with Red Skelton. Of course, in real life, Vincent was the opposite of his characters and was a true gentleman. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us.
Why am I bothered by Vasheeva being so…..happy?
Val Kilmer for Dark Lord! Woo!
I found a silver tongue stud in my muffin once.
Never went to THAT bakery again!
I’ll do it!
