I have a very special treat for you today, my friends! My pal Kevin Vassey, a supervising animator at Dreamworks on “How To Train Your Dragon,” among lots of other fantastic projects has drawn a guest strip for today’s Legend of Bill! This strip was also colored by our very own wizard of color, Don Kuehn! Thanks, Don, as ALWAYS! I LOVE Kevin’s take on Sir Lance continuing the chase after Princess Gina. Obviously, he’s not the smartest knight out there… and I DIG Kevin’s continuance of background fun… (see the moose? lol) THANK YOU, Kevin! What a day! Kevin Vassey guest strip and Larry Elmore fan art! WOOT! Where’s the coolest place to hang out? Legend of Bill, that’s where!! Thanks, team!!
next episode: WES MOLEBASH drops by with an awesome guest strip featuring the GYPSY for us!! Then, I’m back at the helm after some travel and pressing things that took some time of mine, where we’ll return to the gypsy and her revelations. be prepared to learn a lot more about Bill the next 5-6 strips than you have learned thus far! And P.S. We WILL name that darn horse!
P.S. Thanks for your patience in waiting on this… I was traveling all day yesterday, and did not get a chance to get it uploaded properly, (or Sunday night – no internet where I was) and when I got home, internet service is out (modem issue), so bammo – YIKES! What a day) So, thank you!!

A shout-out to ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’, I see. ^^ Nice.
ROFLOL!
@Rock, that gag is older than Roger Rabbit, I believe that it harkens back to the days of Tex Avery cartoons (I’m not that old, just remember seeing them on Cartoon Network or Boomerang)
AWESOME!!!!!!!
Run for the hills!
The moose’s expression is priceless!
It’s still a tried and true gag, no matter how far back the shout out goes! LMAO
In WFRR, there was also a shout-out (in the same gag) to Basil Wolverton’s Lena the Hyena, chosen by LIL’ ABNER as the ugliest woman sent into them in a contest and featured as The World’s Ugliest Woman on the cover of MAD Magazine. By comparison, Sir Lance’s nemesis is a fashion model.
This is one of the funniest strips in this epic. By anybody.
Heh. A time-honored classic. Love the moose head.
I find myself in favor of the well-placed, generous towel in panel 3.
Also, I find myself (even moreso) in favor of the generously-sized tankard of ale that Dark Gina seems to favor. I think I’m beginning to develop some form of Stockholm Syndrome for the Dark Queen …
haha NICE! …But why oh why do I feel like if I were to actually jump into the “Legend of Bill” universe, this EXACT same scenario would happen to me?!?!? haha
good old roger rabbit jokes
Hey, “the bigger the cushion…”
I love this Gag! I remember watching the old Cartoons and this was my favorite.
Look for the old Tex Avery Cartoons on YouTube. The Little Red Ridinghood ones are AWESOME!
Hey, more to love!
