See where Everlost is in relation to the Frozen Wastes and Terragard, where Bill & Frank are right now… could the Dark Queen and Princess Gina…or worse… the Dark Underlord… be far behind?

A closer look at panel 1 – the Vorik/Dragon fight scene
by David Reddick on May 31st, 2010I am offering a closer look at panel 1 as I’m so happy with the art and Don’s coloring. I want to acknowledge again just how integral Don is to Legend of Bill now, he is Watson to my Holmes. lol. He spends as much time trying to get the colors and “feel” perfect as I do on the wriitng and art. We’re a good team. We’re both freaks for quality. (Which is why I’m later than midnight sometimes cause I tend to “needle” things ’til I’m happy with it, much to Don’s dismay! lol) Don, a public thank you again for your awesome work. (He even added in the symbol on Vorik’s chest for me – as I had forgotten to add it!) WOOT!

I am so proud of this strip. As Don pointed out to me, it’s a game changer for someone (Read the strip first, so I don’t give anything away.
) I’m proud of the art, the writing, and Don’s wonderful coloring. (We discussed it and we’re gonna have Bill, Frank and Gypsy stand out in a “muted” tone within the flashback… Don will be re-coloring the past few strips to coincide) …Forgive the tardiness, but we spent some serious time making sure this was PERFECT to present. To present it in a lesser state would be a disservice to its impact. I can’t wait to hear what you have to say! And holy sakes… wait t’til you see what’s coming in this tale.
P.S. There are a lot of references to the existing Legend of Bill MAP in this one, and coming strips. The new LoB site is days from release, and with it, we will be offering the MAP I made for the first comic book ONLINE, right HERE at the new LegendofBill.com, for you to follow the path of Bill, Frank and the rest.

This week’s fan Art Friday comes to us from Ruben Moreno, creator of “Masked Manor,” an excellent horror-humor strip that I discovered after he placed an ad right here at LoB.com. I LOVE Ruben’s drawing style, and his writing.
To celebrate LoB’s 2-year birthday (As of May 27th, which I will celebrate next week with some special posts, including my first-ever sketch of Bill, Gina and Frank!) , Ruben sent me this piece with a big Happy Birthday wish, and man, I about died when I saw that gnome, but also the excellent art and coloring. So here it is!! Thank you, Ruben! Check out Masked Manor today!
