I’m proud to announce today that I have a “good girl” pinup (yes, this officially makes me a “good girl pinup artist.”
) in “The Good Girl Art Library: Dan DeCarlo’s Jetta“, (my page can be seen above) a collection by the great Craig Yoe celebrating one of Dan DeCarlo’s pre-Archie comics characters, “Jetta!” In this collection are many wonderful ARTISTS, including some of my favorites, Bill Morrison (Simpsons Artist), Craig McCracken (Creator of Powerpuff Girls, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends), Jay Stephens (creator of the Secret Saturdays, Tutenstein, Land of Nod), Katie Rice (co-creator of Skadi of Dumm Comics, storyboard artist), Molly Crabapple (creator of Dr. Sketchy’s, and awesome artist/illustrator), Stephen Silver (great Disney character designer for Kim Possible among many others) and Dean Yeagle (creator of Mandy, great Playboy cartoonist) among many more. I’m proud to be among them!
Stop by Amazon.com and pick up your copy for some awesome art – and stop by Jetta HEADQUARTERS for more!!
I will be interviewing LIVE on TGT Webcomics on this Sunday, April 11th at 9pm EST and talking all things Legend of Bill, webcomics and comics goodness in general! Be sure to tune in (and maybe get to ask some questions!) HERE! Do me a favor, friends, and Tweet it for me, won’t you? And let’s have an hour (or more) of fun!
So, Darrin posted the link to this all incognito-like on Twitter and I caught it, and am POSTING it!
LOVE it… so, folks, see anything INTERESTING within the image somewhere? Reflect deeply, now…
Thanks a heap, Darrin! And be sure and check Darrin out at his website, AlienAnt.com!

WARNING: Waxing poetic ahead, lol
So, I’ve been writing a lot lately (aside from my obsessive sketching and drawing, don’t forget I’m also a writer, lol)… origins, back story… getting to know alot more about the characters, the world of Bill. I KNOW them, naturally, but sometimes you just gotta crack open a sketchbook (see my last post, lol) take pen to paper and start writing and drawing doodles and letting it flesh itself out more. This is one of the true joys of creating a comic, in my case, Legend of Bill, which can be both funny in a gag sense, but also epic with a much richer story and world playing out. It happened with The Trek Life, too (My 3-year webcomic at the official CBS Star Trek site, STARTREK.COM)… the characters and their world just… “presented” itself the more and more I did it. it’s happening with Gene’s Journal, and is about to happen with Rod & Barry as well in a broader sense, but I digress… You have no idea the things I have in store for Legend of Bill. I could easily go daily and never run out. (Working on it… with your help).
Anyway… I’ve been fleshing out Bill’s origins, Vasheeva’s (the Dark Queen) origins, the Dark Underlord Warrix’s origins, and in the process sketches have emerged and I’m giving you a glimpse at Vasheeva’s past with this, a sketch of Vash the Elder, her father. There is much about him that one day, you will discover… slowly… and you may not like what you discover.
Vasheeva is one of the deepest characters in Legend of Bill. Just you wait. You’ll see. She’s also probably the most faulted of the bunch, the most unlikeable and dispicable, and also the most loveable in many ways. It will be fun to journey with them and discover the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thank you for joining us on this epic quest, O Travelers.
