Chris: lol, Actually, that is digital. I do all my finished work on a Wacom Cintiq 21UX, and have been since my days doing The Trek Life at STARTREK.COM, drawing directly onto the screen like a sci-fi digital drawing board, which is the exact same premise of drawing upon paper… only “digital paper.” So I rough up my “pencils,” “inks”, etc. all with “pen” (stylus that looks and feels exactly like a pen) in hand, hand-drawn. If you already know what a Cintiq is, my apologies – but this answers the question for others too!
Of course, I would never surrender my sketchbooks. I NEED that tactile paper/pencil/pen feeling and I love the sketchbook to play, think and write and draw in.
Nicholas: lol! Looking at this, I doubt it! But thank you just the same!
My feeling is, who cares how bad a mess it looks in process, all that matters is the end result.
Do you think you will ever move away from pencil sketches and start digitally using a tablet?
Your “mess” looks a lot better than my “finished product” sometimes, Dave!
