Finally! Gina gets her new threads (with a little help from the wizard Craven). Now, this story is about to move forward within a week or so, we will finally see her leave this wretched dungeon and even the Dark Lands, and we’ll soon see Bill and Frank again! How, you ask? Wait and see! And thanks to Don Kuehn as always for the colors!
** NEWS ITEM: LoB returns to twice weekly!! (see blog post below) – Next Episode: Monday, Jan. 18th – sketchblog updates pretty much daily!
Now… to sketch up Gina’s (in the Dark Queen’s body) cloak for wintery travel!

WOAH !!! Looking good ! Nice threads..
Woah !!! Looking good..Nice threads..
Hey, I saw you advertising on my site so much I thought I’d return the favor.
That’s Frank Shinaktra, ancient warbler of melodious mirth.
Hmmm…I think she looks better in the towel.
(Always keep your towel nearby)
I believe he should have cast an enhanced gravity spell while she was still in the towel.
Ok Evil Queen, Gina is going to have you for breakfast !!!!!
Well, even if the Evil Queen is defeated and sent back to her old body, she’ll have a nice pair of MAGIC pants to admire.
Fashion Design, LOL.
it’s always good to have a plan B
I like! I like! Especially since panties are out of the question with pants like that! [MALE, CHAUVANIST, and LOVING IT!]
I would have kept the towel.
David has done this before but I think it deserves mention. When Craven casts his spell, the font in his speech bubble is different. It reminds me of Walt Kelly’s work on “POGO,” where he would assign different fonts to different characters. The result is that the reader puts a different voice/accent to the character based on the font used.
It’s a great device. There is something really unworldly and ancient about the word(?) “SHiNAKTRA” that is felt through the extra tildas and dripping ink that David applied. It’s those aesthetic touches that makes this comic stand out.
Thanks, team! Love the comments. And yeah – maybe she should have just gone with the towel (nic eone, Jazz – anti-gravity spell – lol) . Hm… 3iLL – nice to see ya here! Go Zuda! MJ, yeah – after I read that Shinaktra, I heard “Sinatra” in my head too, but the spell had to be, lol.
And Old Crow – thank you. I appreciate your taking notice of a little detail like the spells font/balloons ,and pointing it out. I personally always love the little details that are consistent in comics, and I got a k ick out of the fact that you caught that and noted it. Aesthetic touches make it extra fun!
drat! i would have welcomed another panel in todays strip. panel one, EQ in towel. panel two, EQ is nude and nakkid, maybe floating in air. panel three, EQ is in new duds.
i also hope that maybe just maybe you will draw EQ nakkid in of those wall papers. you show me nakkid boobs and i will come.
Apparently, he didn’t do just her clothes, but also fixed her hair….
He can do magic things!
Shades of Red Molly! How ever are you gonna work a Vincent Black Lightening 1952 into the plot ..??!!
Glad you enjoyed yourself! I definitely enjoyed the sideshow of fashion, and very much the final design. Thanks!
The ‘do IS part of the fashion statement, Bio!
