Hello, friends! Okay, so you’re wondering where the heck your Legend of Bill comic book issue #1 is! Well, I have good news – the last of the coloring is being added to the final pages (you can see Josh Ulrich’s PHENOMENAL coloring for the comic book story portion (written by the fantastic Steve Ogden and pencilled and inked by myself and the incredible Eldon Cowgur) above in a sneak peek of panel 1 from page 1 of the story – as you’ve never seen Bill, Frank and Gina before!) into the pages and this puppy will be sent off to the printer within a few weeks, and you will have it hand, soon, finally!! My profuse apologies for running behind on the book, as my varied other duties (and family) have thrown off things just a bit. But I do hope it will be worth it to you, as a lot of blood, sweat and tears have gone into it and I can’t wait for you to see the result. SO, hang tight, my friends, and THANK YOU for your profound patience on the book. And don’t forget – if you ordered the Artist’s Edition, you get your hand-drawn sketch card and map of the region where Bill and Company are traveling!) AND – Th3rd World is throwing in as a bonus to EVERYONE who ordered the book – Issue #1 of their great Omega Chase comic book just as a thank you for your patience while your very own slow-as-a-snail LoB cartoonist (um, me) drags his feet! How’s that for a deal?
In the meantime, please enjoy this sneak peek at pix of me working on the pages on my barbaric CIntiq 21UX. I’ve had some wonderful help on the book as well as I mentioned above (BIG HUGE thanks to Steve, Eldon, Don, Joshand Jeff), and can’t wait o show you team LoB’s hard work!!
We’ve been like a pack of barbarians writing, drawing, and coloring our butts off at the Wet Gill Tavern Inn!
This sucker’s gonna rock like Mjolnir thunderous blow!!!

Looks GREAT David.. I can’t wait to get mine in my hands..
I love the medieval, Warcraft-esque setting for a comic. I’ve been thinking of doing it for my own actually, but not too sure how I would apply it to superheroes. Time machine maybe??
This is great news ! Can’t wait to get my copy. Man/Men, this is a milestone in webcomics history.
The sneak peak looks incredible. And as usual, I totally love Frank. Frank is to coolness what Gina is to Bill… is to rubber swords (or the other way round).
@Zac Why would you need a time machine? Say Superman’s parents sent him off of Krypton a thousand years earlier, or that latent superhuman abilities emerge in a medieval timeframe (think Heroes, but everything emerges earlier). You can also work off of an entirely different history, like Warcraft. Then you can make your own rules!
The only hurdle you might have is if your superheroes are the result of some kind of high-science, but let’s not forget science was in full swing throughout history…just explain it through alchemy instead of genetic engineering!
wait, so the stories in this book were never online?
Man! Those are some heavy hitters you have working on that thing! I can’t wait to see the results!
