I love drawing other cartoonist’s characters in my own style (and vice versa when they do it of mine), and I’m a fan of Tom Dell’Aringa’s Marooned (and interview with Tom at the excellent webcomic news site Digital Strips is up currently, btw), and I was doodling on my Cintiq, and doodled this lil’ Captain John (his title character in the strip). Hm… maybe I should color it up and send it over to him … or maybe add some Orion-slave girl type babes on the Cap’n's arms…

Legend of Bill now a member of the “Wizards of Ur”
by David Reddick on February 27th, 2009Posted In: blog
I’m proud to announce that I’m now one of the “Wizards of Ur.” The Wizards of Ur is the premier sketch blog for fantasy comic strip artists working in a cartoon illustration style.
Among the Wizards are Chuck Whelon of Pewfell, Nate Piekos of Atland, James V. West of Pan-Gea, Steve LeCouilliard of Much the Miller’s Son, Travis Hanson of World of the Broken Moon and A.P. Furtado of Elf ‘n Troll, and now, of course, Legend of Bill. Some wonderful talent, these wizards be, and I’m proud to join them in the Tower of Ur. The only thing Bill wants to know is – where does he wash his loincloth?
